FiftyNorth's Used-a-Bit Shoppes (yes, there are two, almost adjacent to each other in River Park Mall, one with furniture and art and the other filled with household and other goods) encourage our members and members of the community to recycle good quality household items, keeping them out of the landfill while providing affordable resources for area individuals and families. Proceeds from the Shoppes also provide important financial support for the center’s programs and services.

Downsizing? Donated items are tax-deductible and include clean, usable furniture, household furnishings for kitchen, office, bedrooms, bathrooms, small appliances, area rugs, tools, toys & puzzles, collectibles, art objects, home decor, and jewelry. 

Our Donations Tip Sheet lists items that ARE and ARE NOT accepted.  Please call the store if you have questions.

DONATION HOURS

Household item donation times: 

Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 2 pm at the back entrance of River Park Mall.

• If you are donating only household items (not furniture), you do not need to preschedule or make an appointment. Drive around to the back / river side of the mall.

• Sorry, no household donations on Saturdays.

Furniture donations: 

Must be preapproved and are by appointment only, due to space limitations. 

• Call Shoppe Manager Fermin Notario (507.645.1399) to schedule a time.

VOLUNTEERING
Member volunteers help us at the stores by sorting, washing, and repairing donated items; pricing donations; assisting customers; and helping with light cleaning duties.
